Apple Favorite Jailbreak Software

So does anyone have a favorite jailbreak software. I was just curious as mine are Redsn0w and Sn0wbreeze.

Actually, Star was MY favorite because of how fast it was.

Well I liked star and spirit but they were userland jailbreaks

I like Spirit so much, I didn't upgrade iTunes so I can use it (among other reasons)
Star was good too, but it is kind of buggy.

My favorites would have to be (in chronological order): AppSnapp, 1.1.3 soft upgrade (I never used this, but it cut down on n00bs

), iLiberty+, WinPwn, XPwn, PwnageTool, redsn0w.

And yes, I'm an old fart when it comes to jailbreaking.

What's a userland Jailbreak?

A userland jailbreak is a type of jailbreak that resides inside of the OS. The "boot chain" is not altered, which means you cannot use custom IPSWs or have custom boot logos. (The boot chain is the sequence of how iOS boots up. Basically, everything has its issued-by-Apple signature checked, and if this signature check fails, the device aborts to Recovery or DFU Mode.)

What's a userland Jailbreak?

User land means you cannot changed the boot logo. Like with redsn0w you can always use sn0wbreeze to create a custom IPSW to restore to.
it's just a pain

Spirit was my savior since no other jailbreak could work on my iPod.

ZiPhone was great! But the greatest are the old AND the new jailbreakme.com.

Of the 2 I've used (Spirit and Star) I preferred Spirit. It was less temperamental since it used a computer and was therefore not subject to large server loads making it hard to use and generally less buggy (no glitches on the startup screen for one making it more invisible).
SHAtter should be good if it can be made untethered (through a Cydia package or whatever). If it is tethered I will be dubious as to installing or not as I often turn my iPod off to avoid getting constant Facebook notifications while at my computer and going away for long periods of time could become annoying.

i liked spirit the most...of course i only jailbroke on 3.1.3 and 4.0. i am hoping that SHatter will be the best one
