Oh wow, I got the ISO to build properly using partitionbuilder 1.2-test. Sweet.

EDIT: At least it looked right in WiiScrubber. Dolphin still didn't recognize it though. Whatever.

Didn't know there was a version 1.2, was using version 1.0 and resulted with the data partition saying bad. by using version 1.2 the partition was build correctly and wiiscrubber read it right using the steps posted a few pages ago. also it plays in dolphin but freezes at the beginning of the game once she walks down the hall. this also happens without the english patch so dolphin cannot play this game. I'll have to add this to my wii hard drive later and thanks for creating this awesome english patch.

link to download partitionbuilder 1.2
also before creating the partition in partitionbuilder delete all "._.DS_Store" files since it shouldn't be on the disk.

I have to ask are you running this through USB? I had the problem with the words when I was running it through USB (Swaped the files with Wiiscrubber). I'll have to check using patching/normal disc method and see if I can get the same problem. Only thing is I went way passed it now, so i really can't test it

Edit: Just read on Beyond Camera Lens message board that another user has the same problem I've got but he's using the patch method. :/

i'm actually running the game patched on dvd.

well, at last!
I can confirm that it works with Neogamma R7 through USB the patched iso,
XD i deleted by error the partition 1 folder in the scrubber, oh and only have 0 and 1 partitions...in the start i was confused, i deleted EVERY archive in the folders when i extracted the ``data´´ from de game in scrubber, and put the patched ones, :S i played the game and only says ``create a new save file´´ and that sfuff, then just appears a black screen and...Nothing happens! well, i realized that was the cause, i deleted necessary files...i started again, but just puting the new files and selecting overwrite all the(number) files, then the result was a img file 3.66 gb, then, wiiscrubber 1.4. right click, unecrypted partition, load...then an error, the file is too big to load, that was strange...what i did was to resize the iso, to it´s max cap, then i loaded the partition, and done, then i transfered the game to my usb using wbfs manager 2.5. i thing is the same with 3.0, the game is 3.78 gb.
And it works, created new save file, and im playing it right now, lol with stereo on and lights off XD

06/04/2015 edit

elilbro asked for a massive, from-scratch makeover. Yes, after 5 years, I decided to bring sincere willpower to check gbatemp.

"At last!
I can 100% guarantee this patch release works using Neogamma R7 -usb mode- . Procedure was the following:
1- Delete 'Partition 1' folder when using WiiScrubber software. You may encounter with "Partition 1 and Partition 0"; at first I was confused, but proceeded to overwrite every single file within the Data folder, with the patched ones (Just what you'd do if you want a custom ost play during x game on steam or something).
Thought that doing the aforementioned would suffice, and then tested my fine art. Everything went smootly until prompted to create a new file, and darkness was all my eyes could bear. I should've known! Deleting everything in the -data- folder wasn't necessary; on the contrary--dangerous. as I deleted key files that made PZ4 playable.
2: Aknowledging my past mistake, I, then, started from scratch. This time, though, I just copy-pasted all patched files (without erasing everything within data folder), and just asked me if it is of my desire to overwrite allready-existing files, and selected yes. I got, as a result, a 3.66gb iso.
3: Open WiiScrubber 1.4 - right click - unencrypted partition - load iso (3.66gb one)... aaaand some error "This file is too big to load". Solution? Rezising the iso to its max. capacity!. Now load partition, and done.
4: Now you can enjoy the off-the-oven iso (3.78gb now). Tested the iso and, somehow, it works! Playing it right know with lights off and stereo at max. vol.

Could you rewrite that in more tangible English? I also have an ISO with bad sectors and I can't figure out how to add the patch. Its seems you have figured out a way but I can't make out what your saying.

i hope GHM rewards you in any way for your efforts. I saw that Projekt Zero 4 is now the bestseller at playasia
biggrin.gif
.That's incredible work you ve done. And also, you put so many time and work in this projekt... so many thanks.

Now, i've 2 questions:
1. Is it normal, that the Game sometimes stutters, wenn you walk throug a door in a anothe room? Or did i sth. wrong?

2. Would it be possible to translate "428 - the world doessnt even change so" with the help of riivolution? Its a Famitsu 40/40 Japan only release.

It also does that for me, so I guess it's normal.

If you have muuuch time, and the Tools to encrypt, edit and pack the Files back, every game can be translated with IOS242/Riivolution. It would also be great for Moddings, such as custom Brawl-Textures, custom NSMBWii-Levels, etc., since you can replace every file from every game.
Not a member of the Team, but I have some knowledge...(at least I hope so

).

I patched the game, the ISO works fine with Dolphin emu no hanging what so ever, but keep giving me disc error when I try to load the disc on my US wii with wiikey 1. Anyone playing the patched game from disc with wiikey1?

trying to add the patch to an iso, but when you need to rebuild the partition suing partition builder at the bottom it says "Data Alignment", should that be left as 4?

lol sorry, im not perfect XD
Well, to be more tangible like you said
1: Extract the necessary filles bin, boot, bi2, ampimage, etc...using wiiscrubber 1.4
2: Download the patch
3: COPY the files like the instructions say, just copy and wait the option to overwrite and do that with the next(amount of files) number(option below) then just wait and do that with the others, because DELETING every file and adding the news is baaad idea, trust me D: oh and when adding the music/stream, is just one file, do the same, add and replace that...
4: Open Partition builder 1.1(i used that) put the correct files in the empty slots
5: Wait, and you will have a 3.66 gb img file, go back or open wiiscrubber 1.4 if you closed it xD, well right click in the partition 1(in my case, is that i deleted partition 1 accidentally, and all passed to partition 0...either way just right click and load...(again, in my case tells me an error, ``The file is too big to load´´ that was strange :S i just resized the partition, changed the code in the middle slot using the code in the third slot, then right click again in partition 0, or 1 in your case...and loaded it, and start adding!)
6: When it finishes, I used the wbfs manager 2.5 because i run games from usb...when you put the game needs to say 3.78 gb.
7: Play XD i used neogamma R7 With no changes in the region, just load it :S im in the second chapter!

PD: Sorry for my bad english
PD2: Oh btw, what´s that ``bad iso´´ you guys are talking about? just curious...
PD3: Deleting every file and adding the patched ones...causes the img file to be 130KB!!! and i added it anyway, and tested it and just say ``create a new file´´ ? and that stuff, when playing it...and then nothing happens :S...

When you use v1.0 of the partition making program, it has a bug where over a certain size it messes up partitions...the result is that you get this partition marked BAD when you import it using Wiiscrubber.

I see, so that´s why they recomend 1.1, thanks

Man, Stereo on FTW this game is awesome!
One question, lol is true that the disc version of FF4 take hours to load? If that so, im glad of playing it in a USB xD

Where did you hear this from, made-up-make-myself-feel better land? The disc version loads in exactly 7 seconds, which is the time it takes to setup the 2400 patches it needs to make.

This has to be one of the best things I've heard all week.

If I have a dvd-r backup of the game (which works with cioscorp and neogamma) can I apply the patch using the SD method? Or the only way would have to be dling an iso and scrubbing it? (and by the only way I mean without having to import it, of course)

I followed the guide a few pages back with Wiiscrubber and partitionbuilder and everything seemed to go smoothly, but it doesn't boot. I tried it on DVD-R and USB (w/ NeoGamma) and I get to the Japanese text telling to plug in the nunchuk, but then it goes black and nothing happens. Was that text supposed to be translated?

Also when I saw this in the guide..
1. Expand Partition:2 (DATA)

Mine said, "Expand Partition:0 (DATA)" - not sure if this makes a difference.

I'll try again...

What partitions do you have on your disc?

You know, I actually skipped over the part where I was supposed to copy the Patch Contents into their respective folders in the "ff4data" folder.
