Hardware Fat or NTFS?

Hi,

Can anyone advise me about what filesystem i should use, i remember there was a reason i choose for fat filesystem, but now some games won't install, some exceed the 2gb datalimit.

Question: *Is it possible to install files bigger then 2 gb on a fat drive? (some sort of trick?)
*or should i convert the drive to ntfs.
*Are there any disadvantages to use a NTFS filesystem?

Found a solution! To help others with the same question, this is what helps us.

PS3Splitter is a tool allowing users to break up large 4GB+ files into smaller files. This application will automatically scan for large files that require splitting. Making things easy for the user to get their backups working by doing simple copy/move operation [PC -> external HDD -> PS3 internal HDD] which is much faster and reliable than copying via FTP.

Doesn't multiman split files automatically, and this is only really a issue with external drives. I've used USB sticks, mounted them as ntfs and then copied to fat32 drive which then gets split automatically.

That was before I had my drive internal anyways

It is also possible to convert the drive to NTFS, but i'm not sure about the advantages/disadvantages, the drive is kinde full (3tb lol) so i dont want to mess around with converting ^^
