I'm sick and tired of all the rpgs the ds has.
I want some fast paced games for a change!
I've been playing zombie BBQ and I like it so far but I sense it's gonna be over real soon so I have to stock up on fast games.

what I ask for is games with fast gameplay, not specific to any genre.anything is fine!
even puzzle games(like meteos) can have fast gameplay.
final fantasy doesn't.

help!

There's a decent of amount of those.
Metal Slug 7
Contra 4
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword
Spiderman: Web of Shadows
Iron Man 2
XG Blast
Space Invaders Extreme
Space Invaders Extreme 2
And Big Bang Mini

Hope that list of games helps you stay occupied for a while.
Enjoy!

thanks for the reply but I've played most of those games there...

they don't HAVE to be side scrollers or shooters.
anything that is played fast is nice

Really? Wow.
Hang on while I check.

Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble
Lunar Knights
Dragon Ball: Origins
Dragon Ball: Origins 2
Nanostray
Nanostray 2
Retro Game Challenge(only some of the sub-games are fast paced)
Custom Robo Arena(it can take a sec to get into a battle though)
Assassins Creed 2: Discovery
Megaman Zero Collection
Sonic Rush
Sonic Rush Adventure
Puyo Puyo 7(there's a full translation)
Tetris DS(some modes)
Tetris Party Deluxe(some modes)
Sideswiped
Need For Speed: Nitro
Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing
Brothers in Arms DS
Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty Modern Warfare: Mobilized
Call of Duty: World at War
Metroid Prime: Hunters(a few rounds with bots always satisfies me)
Ninjatown

Em...that's all I can think of. Tell me if you need more though, I can probably find some if I look hard enough.

Rhythm games are probably what you should be checking out (seeing as no one's mentioned any so far).

Elite Beat Agents/the Ouendan series, Rhythm Heaven and there's a drum based game (cannot recall the name but someone else can help out)

There's quite a few out there.

Actually "Ontamarama" as wrongly mentioned above (heh) is a rhythm game

the drum games are the Taiko no Tatsujin series, There are 3 games on the series for DS, you should check them out (op)

Also Daigasso Band Brothers AKA "Jam With The Band" should do it.

Ketsui Death Label is quite fast paced too.

Konami Classics Series: Arcade Hits has other arcade games which are quite fast themselves.

Bleach fighting games are quite fast too...

And the latest Katekyo Hitman Reborn games (Especially the last fighting one) Are quite fast too.

In no particular order....

Geometry Wars
Astro Invaders
Sonic Classic Collection
Speed Racer
Legend of Kage 2
Diner Dash
Metroid Prime Pinball
Warioware (any)
Trackmania

Old-school arcade compilations include:
Retro Atari Classics
Namco Museum
Konami Arcade Classics
G.G. Series Collection (J)
Retro Game Challenge

I tried to keep it mostly to titles not already mentioned. There's actually quite a few fast-paced games. The problem is sifting through all the shovelware to find them.

It kinda falls under the RPG category but I am surprised no one mentioned The World Ends With You.

Its battle system is definitely fast-paced and challenging to get the hang of. But once you do it's pretty fun. It last me quite a bit as well. That's just me though

The battle gameplay is fast indeed, but the fact that most battles take ages to finish if you play on a higher difficulty level is incredibly annoying and therefore I wouldn't call TWEWY fast-paced at all.

I have finished TWEWY anyway so...

n+ seems too much of a trouble to get into...based on everything I've seen and read,I'd rather keep my sanity...

legend of kage 2 seems nice
I should also get sonic rush adventure since I've already finished the 1st one.

already tried every fps shooter on ds....
finished elite beat agents as well...

rythm games in general don't really pose a challenge to me since I'm a drummer and all

warioware,castlevania,tetris,viutiful joe = all done

racing games on the ds look.....bad....as a whole.
sideswiped looks fun though!

lunar knights is fast? I thought it was one of those strategy rpgs?
dragon ball origins look good.

hmm...some good games on those lists, should keep me occupied for a while.
if you got anything else to add, please don't hesitate

thanks!

This is the most ridiculous statement I've ever read about N+. It's probably the best fast-paced pick-up-and-play game I have on my microSD. Whoever told you it would be too much trouble had no idea what they were talking about.

really?! everyone says it's so damn hard that it borders on impossible...
guess I'll give that one a chance as well then.

I seriously cannot believe how amazing diner dash is!
as far as fast paced games go,this is madness!

tried n+ as well and was exactly as I thought it would be...great gameplay but so so so punishing...

Some levels are easy, some levels are extremely hard. eg. I died over 100 times in a single level
