I was thinking why not add a fast motion feature to the real time menu on the DSTwo?

It'd be like the speed up on GBA emulators. The only problem is that I'm not sure that the DSTwo's processor would be enough to handle the speed up.

Anyways this feature would be useful for people who want to get through parts of games really quick. Like my save for DYI was deleted, so I have to go through the tutorials all over again. With fast motion I'd be able to get through it quite fast.

It can't be done, because, unlike the GBA emulator, DS games on the DS aren't emulated, and are bound and locked to the restrictions and timings that the hardware has.

Hmmm...well even if there are restrictions there may still be some way around it or to trick the DS into doing the dirty work.

I remember those hardware overclock mods. I remember one that had a switch with it so you could move it back and forth from regular to overclock.

I have a PSP :\

I like the Real Time Menu, and the option to create a completely custom hotkey for it.

Well, technically, you could speed up the games some by removing the vsyncs from the game. It would be rather random how much the speed up was per game, and it could/would (not sure which) screw with the graphics a lot.

Mind you, I am not advocating this method, it would likely do more harm than good.

what.

It isn't possible. So bye bye sped up games. Maybe the SNES emulator will have Fast Motion though.

Your reasoning isn't making much sense :\

But I've already pretty much accepted it won't be possible, thankyou for playing though

ever heard about the HIGH SPEED PROCESSING code in heartgold/soulsilver, well if someone can make/port it as a universal code like the backlight adjust code in the usrcheat.dat it's going to be very helpful.

my vote to this thread is yes.

Changing a few values in memory that contribute to movement speed is not the same as making an entire game process things faster.
