Hacking Family Trainer

I have bought a Family Trainer Mat to the family trainer game.
But I have problems with the trainer mat (new one)
Everytime I push one of the orange buttoms. The map return to the menus options in the game. There is no problem using the blue buttoms. The only orange buttom there is working is the one in the middle. Do you think there is something wrong with the mat or does any have a solution?
Have any of you tried played the game with a backup copy? And did it work?
