does anyone have nasty bugs when going in the northwestern part of the map? bodies fall from the sky and keep launching themselves then i hop up and down for no reason aswell and then if i run into some mutants i cant even kill them i hit invisible walls when i shoot at them. i was just wondering if anyone else had bugs like that. hopefully a patch soon cause it gets annoying.

ive played the 360 version. Bought it last Friday brand new. Its absolutely amazing. I didnt care much for Oblivion, and whilst i see the similarities, this is just plain better! Its very rare i will pick up a game and hammer it for hours on end (Resi 4 on cube was last time i did this) but this has had 12 hours of my time over the weekend, its that good

where is the power armor trainer the guy in the radio station says a lab but what lab and where

In the main courtyard of The Citadel.

It's the homebase of The Brotherhood of Steel.
You pretty much have to get through most of the (main) story line to be even let in the Citadel. Once they let you in, you just have to track down the Gunny guy.

I find this game a tad bit more linear than Oblivion, I never beat the main story in oblivion because you could wander into a town pretty quickly, but on here the only reason I found most of the towns is because the main quest took me to them or took me where people talked about them

. Also, is anyone else paranoid that Dogmeat will kick the bucket if you bring him outside of the safety of a town?

Its not Cali, the game is set in post-apocalyptic Washington DC.

I love it, racked up 30 hours so far

not what i said at all. i know its in washington dc im just saying people are complaining because it is.

ANybody got any tips on keeping dogmeat alive? I know I've sent him to vault 101 to wait for me a few times but I'm having to save after every encounter because he keeps getting klilled!

Also, if you tell him to "stay" can you whistle for him to come back later or do you have to go back to where you left him?

I love dogs more than anything (well, apart from foxes) & the addition of dogmeat to this game was a stroke of genius on bethesdas part. When I found him I was overjoyed

Game is very addicting.. and hard! I have 8 hours of gameplay and I'm still on level 5.. spent a lot of time just exploring the world..

Anyway, where can I find "The Family"? And is there any way for me to carry more stuff? :/

The higher your strength, the more you can carry. There's at least one quest that'll up your Strength by one, a perk that raises your carrying capacity by 50 points, and another perk that'll allow you to up one of your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. ranks.

He never seems to die for me >.> I just, every once in a while, give him a stempack, or have him wait a ways back if it's really dangerous (like a random Giant Mutant guy). I swear, it's like his health restores exponentially just by walking >.>

Dogmeat died 2 times for me.. luckily I had saved the game recently, so I just reloaded it..

But indeed, he's VERY resistant and very helpful, the 2 times he died, 3 enemies attacked him at the same time and I had no ammo :/

I've been playing the PC version, so I don't know if that applies to the 360 version, but I was very impressed by how the game saves the location of everything in the map! You can blow a guy apart and throw each of his limbs in a different town, if you go back to each town 3 days later, they'll still be in the same place.. really.. I ditched some of my items in a room cause I had too much stuff in my inventory, long time after that, I was passing by and entered the room again.. for my surprise, all the items were still there on the exact same way I left them.. doesn't sound like something big.. but it is.. really (considering the anarchy in the world and all the raiders it's also kinda unrealistic, but still impressive).

i thought this game was open ended like oblivion
What was it like in the other fallout titles? no big surprise here...
Haven't finished the main story so far. I wanted to stay focused on it, but there is so much to explore and see and try. This is one of the greatest games. Something I waited for since "Wasteland".

I've played a bit more with dogmeat & I can now see how to keep him alive. He just needs the occasional stimpack.

Im just doing the nuka-cola challenege, I've arrived at the plant & am exploring it but the nuka-lurks keep killing doggymeat.

I'm gonna try sending him back to vault 101 & pick him up later when I've explored the plant.

Also, I got the Prima guide at the weekend. Has all locations/stats quest walkthroughs etc... Its the most comprehensive prima guide I've ever seen, well worth a purchase! Only £14.99 gbp

i'm getting that guide aswell, i got the full oblivion guide when i first brought it too, it beats having to use crappy gamefaqs regardless if it's free.

The guide is deffo worth it.

The special edition guide is really nice too, its hardback with a different cover. It was £20 & I only had £15 otherwise I'd have gone for that one

yeah thats the one i want to get, the hardback copy, i've heard that it contains 50 Pages of bonus content or something, i'm wondering what it contains.

Really? I asked in gamestation & the guy said the only difference was the hard/soft cover.

They were both sealed in plastic so I couldnt compare them.
The soft cover one has tonnes & tonnes, I really cant figure out what the 50 extra pages contain......

..ah well, at least theres some things I'll find for myself
