Hacking Fake cards: what problems?

what problems to fake memory cards propose to R4 ?
-is it just slow down on particular title intros, or is there actual slow down in gaming ?
-does 512mb work ?

Fake cards are supposedly to be 'slower' than the real cards. As much as it will probably not be any speed performance slowdowns during your games with R4DS, you will probably get more slowdown on games that already give slowdown on the real cards.

C.PoR hasn't given any slowdowns. Although it appears to give occasional freezes depending on which card you use (read the R4 Compatibility page for more info, link in my signature).

But yes, the only game that has so far given slowdowns on all tested cards, is Tonyhawks DJ.
