Using 5.0.2 and when I load up the payload, I select load firmware, and it just says this and boots up the normal way. I have seen people say theres an issue with sdxc cards, and I am using a 256GB card. Is there a workaround for this?

I'm currently using a 64GB in exFAT. Firstly, you should try combinations of reinserting the card and doing normal boots. Sometimes, it just doesn't want to work for whatever reason.

Format it to fat32. You should be good to go from there

I was having a similar problem. Even if your SD card is formatted to fat32, if you didn't download the SDXC update before the firmware updated, you're screwed with the normal payload.

I was able to use a workaround found by another user.

Whenever hekate for 4.x crashes, it makes the SD card unusable with hetake (When the payload launches, it says "Failed to mount SD card (make sure that it is inserted)" and continues to ofw). Formatting using SDFormatter and guiformat makes the sd card work with hekate again (Thanks ReSwitched user-support), but after it crashes again, the whole process starts all over again (Including 3 hour restore of sd card backup).

My question is: Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I can't seem to find anyone else talking about it on Discord or GBATemp.
Format your SD card to fat32. I did it with the program Rufus.

Use @CTCaer payload version 1.3 https://github.com/CTCaer/hekate/releases/tag/v1.3 Thread : https://gbatemp.net/threads/rcm-payload-hekate-mod-raw-full-nand-backup.502604/

With the SDfiles from this release https://gbatemp.net/threads/hekate-ipl-4-x-hbl-on-4-x.503471/ Files : https://github.com/nx-python/hekate-ipl-4x/releases (sdfiles.zip) unzip it and put in root of the sdcard.

So CTCAER Payload and the sdcard.zip from other release and i can launch hbmenu with my Samsung Evo 64gb SDXC card. On my 4.0.1 Switch

This worked, thanks.
