Yesterday, I decided to charge my switch after months of leaving it uncharged. So I decided to plug it into my Computer and it started charging like normal. (Power Bar and everything).

Then about 10-15 minutes into the charging process I heard the connect/disconnect from the pc and then briefly saw an "error screen" or something, but didn't actually see what was on it.

After I took to the internet and that led me to this forum looking for solutions to getting my switch to start back up.

I have "attempted" to run TegraRcmGui and Hekate however I am unable to get anything past those.

Everything i try to do with the eccm says "slow mode" or "failed to init eMMC"

I should have time over the next few days to look at any solutions that may or may not work.

I can boot it into Hekate, but have no "payloads" to Inject?/

** Edited/Pertinent Information **
My Switch Serial Number starts with - XAW1006****** - so it's "unpatched".

Sound like your SD card flex is damaged/missing pins, that why it is in one bit mode/slow mode.

Open your switch, reseat your SD card connector if you got a v1.
So there's no way to show in Hekate or something that it can see and read my SD card?

I don't have the tools or experience to Open my switch at this time, I'm looking for software troubleshooting to help have someone replace my Hardware later, so if it can be pinned down to the eMMC module being bad or something. I can point that out as the thing i want replaced.

Software won't help you fix it when it is a problem with your SD card flex reader.

So you're absolutely sure there's nothing i can show in the Hekate software to see that I have full access to read and format my SD card?

Nope, it is hardware level
I am confused how the eMMC not working has anything to do with my SD card slot since I can insert it and read/write and access my SD card?

Just seems like your fix is speculative at this point. - So I'm gonna be cautious.

SD card flex isn't your SD card.

So even though i could pull all the data off my SD card there still might be something wrong with the socket?

You need to open up your switch to check if you got a missing pin or not, if you got missing pin you need to replace the SD card flex,

This is what I got. My switch is old. The rail screw 1 side is stripped and the screwdriver I got wont unscrew it.
But I can get access to this and take it out but can't get any further into it.

It doesn't look like any of the pins are missing. Could be a bad sd card reader. Have you dropped the switch? I would try to put it back firmly and see if it is still in 1 bit mode.

I haven't been able to "Turn the screen on" or know if it's Running at all past a certain point.

One day, when I plugged it in to my pc to charge i heard it connect and disconnect from the PC multiple times on the USB hub. Then it no longer acted like normal.

I feel like I might have accidentally shorted something because of the USB port.

I've left it sitting for months on end without charging it and left it sitting for months on end with it on the charger but not being played.

Here are some screenshots / phone pictures of my situation. I am having difficulty opening up the switch any further than I already have as well.

Should I consider paying $100 to send it off to nintendo?

if you send it to Big N, you will not get back your same unpatched unit, you will get back a used patched unit. I'd buy a new SD card reader pcb board to check first, they are cheap @ebay. Good luck.

Honestly I don't care what unit i get back unless it's really worth that much for someone to have an unpatched unit with this issue, and they wanna try to fix it.

I can't get it open any further myself, my only options left would be to try and find someone local to fix it, but I'm not sure about that.
