Here is what I would like to see, a built in upload to 3D Porch. Use that for 3D photo uploading, then have an option to post it with a message to either Facebook or Twitter. The 3DS doesn't really need a dedicated Facebook/Twitter app cause it has a web browser, you can just use that to check stuff. All they really need is a way to upload pictures from the 3DS itself.

I hope there is no Facebook app
I get it. It wasn't funny.

I don't like Facebook for several reasons, it's #3 in my "Top 5 Thing I Hate" list. I don't give a crap about being nonconformist and I hate people who try to be nonconformist just to not blend in.
Be yourself! people, stop trying to be different just because you don't want to be like everyone else.

*Why* would you want a Facebook app? Wouldn't a good WEB BROWSER be enough to satisfy your Facebook/Twitter/Bloggly-Woggly needs?

What's up with the exhibitionism lately? Everybody wants everyone to know what they're doing RIGHT NAO. What for?

I remember when people were sensible enough not to even put their real name online, now they tell the entire world where they live and what time they go out to the local store to buy some milk. It's like telling the world "come and burgle my house, I'm not in right now, I live !!". I personally don't care how often you go to the toilet or if you just saw the cutest little animal everz!..

If Nintendo wanted to do something like that, they would more than likely use a service on their own server, created by either themselves, or a trusted commercial venture, not and unofficial generic service provided by a regular Joe.

DAMMIT NOT A FACEBOOK APP not something seperate! has no one had a dsi? or is it only dsi XL that when you are looking at your pictures you can click on the picture and it pops up "Favorite, Edit, Upload to facebook account" its not an extra app. it was a feature on the DSI XL that i liked i know its not world changing but people do like that little shit. i know the browser would be sweet as tits but will you be able to upload from your sd? without having to take it out and plugging it into your PC. all im sayin is it was a small thing from the DSI (XL not sure if regular DSI had it) that i miss.

But it's not a phone, why should it try to be one? Except for maybe Skype, all of them really aren't needed.

You know, if you want to be an anti-conformist like us, then you have to listen to the same music as us, do the same things as us, and agree with everything we think. You need to conform to our uncomformist ideas, otherwise you can not be an unconformist.

Got to love south park.

I wouldn't mind one. I'd like a MSN/YIM/Skype/IRC app before a Facebook one, but the likelihood of those coming before FaceBook isn't very high. The DSi had facebook functionality, so I guess it wouldn't seem too far-fetched to hope for a dedicated launchable app for Facebook.

I'd also like to see Twitter.

dammit this thread got way off topic. im not saying view your damn facebook from your 3ds lol. can anyone explain this better than i can? on the DSI XL(LL) after you take a picture you can click the facebook icon and it uploads it straight to your account. if they are already unlocking the 3ds's browser you can already use facebook. im saying UPLOAD straight from viewing the picture to facebook. its not something crazy and its not for everyone obviously there are facebook haters. but for people who use facebook and miss the little perk this seems like it would be great to have back.

Yeah, everyone got that - they were just saying how much they'd like/dislike a fully featured App. If the 3DS get's Facebook functionality, it might as well get a dedicated Facebook App as well - one that would support the ability to view 3D images taken with other 3DS'. The original DSi also had that feature via an update (not sure if the DSiXLL came with it preinstalled or not), so it's not out of the picture.

ahh, thanks for clarifying! and yea i guess i would like that as well and as far as the dsixl comming with it.... mine did but i also didnt buy mine asap but i remember updating it to 1.4u

Because people who actually thing a phone is a true gaming device can come over and relies it not.

And how does Facebook make you feel like barfing? Do you not have IRL friends or something?
I don't know about you, but I have my real-life friends in real-life. No need to collect them (and their friends, their friends' friends, their friends' friends' friends, their....) in an online-Pokédex.
