The XG stuff was more of a rebranded EZFlash thing if memory serves. You might be able to get something done with littlewriter though. Theoretically you could also get something done with a DS and DS slot flash cart but other than the EZ 3 in 1, technically EZ4 and I guess the FAS1 stuff (some more discussion about all of that http://gbatemp.net/threads/write-gba-roms-using-nintendo-ds.395826/ ) nothing ever really saw it.
You might be able to use the functions to read and dump any rom and save in the XG, but it is unlikely you will be able to write to the XG.
