Does saving after rebooting to initialize the sram reduce battery usage?

I am worried that coin battery will be used a lot to maintain the sram.

Does anyone know?

I doubt that the card has some function to disconnect the SRAM battery when it's not "needed" so likely it's going at a steady charge at all times and it doesn't matter what you do.

Also, SRAM uses up very little battery power. I have Bung flashcards from about 25 years ago where the SRAM battery still works so I really wouldn't worry too much about it.

If you're not a fan of RTC games, you can press the button on the card to go back to the kernel after your game time and let the kernel backup the save data to the SD card, As long as you remember to do this every time, you don't even need the battery.
