Hacking EZ-Flash Vi fail to start

Hi,

when I was trying to add an application to my sd-card for my EZ-Flash Vi, I was messing around with firmware and kernel updates because the application wouldn't run. Now my Nintendo DS doesn't recognise the EZ-Flash Vi anymore...

When I was searching for answers on google I read something about a 'brick' when you try to update your EZ-Flash Vi with an old update.
Do you guys think I can throw my flashcard away because it's bricked?
