I recently bought EZ-FLASH OMEGA and encountered issue with RTC. Clock is getting late by about 15-20 minutes per day, so I have to readjust it. Is this normal behavior, or there's something wrong with software or battery? Has anyone else got same problem? My firmware version is 3 and kernel version is 1.01.

replying because i have a question about the rtc, and i am also wondering about the answer in this issue^^

does the Gomba emulator (i believe is what the omega uses to launch gb\c games?) take advantage of the rtc? meaning i could play the gen 1\2 poke games with rtc?

I am on FW3 1.02T at present.
Clock is just fine.

Not sure what might be causing it for you. Do you use savestates? Do any of the other games use it? Have you had corruption issues? Do you have a means to test the voltage on the battery?

As for goomba then not tried it yet. I imagine it is possible for it to be coded as such but whether it has been I am going to have to test.

Yes, I use savestates. As for any corruption issues, I'm experience few freezes (sounds still plays, but screen freezes and the game is non-responsive in any way) and occasional self-restarts, but I'm not sure if blame lies with EZ-FLASH or with that specific ROM, as I'm playing hack of Pokemon Emerald. As for testing the voltage, I can't do that.

The freezes is probably due to the patching. There's no 100% safe way to patch a GBA game on real hardware. Did you disable the fast engine patcher? I've no idea if that would have much/any effect on stability or the RTC, but the fast engine patcher uses a list of preset addresses so can be incompatible with hacks. As for Goomba Color, the RTC displays and it's supposed to work, so there's no reason to believe it doesn't, but like FAST6191 I haven't done any testing. The only game that has a RTC that I play is Boktai. It works fine--which is actually annoying. :)

Mine is off about 2 minutes over the past week or so I've had it.

Just confirmed Pokémon Silver does indeed work with the Omega's RTC.
