Hacking EZ Flash Omega NOR

I know that NOR isn't really needed for the EZ Flash Omega, but I'm a bit confused on how it works, when adding an 8mb game to NOR it uses around 60mb of the NOR space, is there a reason for this? I thought since the game is 8mb it would only use 8mb of the NOR space.

computers use bytes, write as 8MB
consoles use bits, write as 64Mb

8bits=1bytes. very basic computer common knowledge

Whoever told you that is bending the truth. Stuff on NOR loads faster than on microSD, and the lower battery consumption is basically gonna be impossible to notice.
