I got the firmware.nds file(old phats, light setting is old and glitchly, sort of)

I was thinking, are you able to actually extract from the firmware? with dslazy it give you the basic bin files and empty data and overlay folders. I wanted to see if it is possible to extract the pictochat and download play functions so i dont need to load it everytime, or maybe editing the images(if possible)
has anyone tried this besides through hex editing?

You probably can't do much with the firmware file. I don't think it's possible to just take out pictochat and make a seperate, boot able binary.
