Hacking external HDD problemes

i was playing some backuped games just fine a while ago.
and now i started up ninokuni.... and i had LONG really long loading times...

i didnt have them in the past ... (used with external usb hdd )

my hdd has not any power adaper it gets power of the ps3...

but my ps3 plsyed every game nicely ... till now... now i have the long loading screens...
in god of war 1 i ve them too..


any ideas?

i would be very happy if some one could help me!!!
