Gaming Explorer.exe won't start

OS: Vista Home Basic

When ever i log on to my account i get a black screen, no icons or task bar. I have to manally start explorer.exe by pressing ctrl + alt + delete then picking task manager and "new task..."

Can anyone help me?

Because one person represents the ENTIRE forum?

What did you do before it just stopped showing? It would most probably be something you did, or a program did. (hence why system restore worked)
 
if it was in the regestry, just frequently use cleaners. I use Glary Utilities + CCleaner + Avast Home

no problems here
 
how can you blame others when you are giving almost no information at all?
there's no way we can know what caused your explorer.exe to be removed from your registry.
Only you know what you've been doing with your computer....
 
Perhaps too much pron or an unreliable warez site

Reminds me of when Chuckstudios totally broke windows XP with a bad crack for Nod32
except this doesn't seem too bad.

He isn't. Usually changes don't just happen by themselves, that is not an accusation. Anything that you have done or has been done, even tiny things (yes, including surfing on certain sites), might have made that happen. So if you track that down, you have a clue.

Try not to see help as being attacked.
