Title, basically. Since the Switch is always recording and saving the last 30 seconds of Gameplay (in most situations) shouldnt it be possible to improve the perfomance by disabling that function? Would that actually work?

To be clear: I dont say i absolutely want this feature right now, i would just like to know if it would be possible or if, for example, that function is using seperate, dedicated hardware for that.

It doesn't, only a few games have that functionality.

most of those games run flawlessly in the first place. but also i'm sure the processing power that uses is from the core that is reserved by the OS and it's not bothering the games at all in the first place.

The recording is done by the OS and that one has 1 GB RAM reserved at all times, so I guess the game won't have more ressources by disabling it, maybe a little less CPU usage by the OS.
Zelda BOTW will still drop frames like there is no tomorrow, only CEMU fixes this at least a little.

True, but i could have improved the perfomance in handheldmode, XC2 for example. But i get your point, ty for clearing that up.

Ah, makes sense. Ty for clearing that up.
