Well I am very interested in getting me a 3D tv but I am not that sure if its worth it yet ....
Would be interesting to hear from people who actually have one already if they really use it and if its really a good thing to have.

I was thinking of getting me the Philips 50PFL7956K/02 which sounds very interesting with its 21:9 and such ^^

P.S. any infos about Streaming 3D stuff ? there are Blue Ray and whatever that have L/R and whatever for 3D ... would the TV make a correct 3D video out of it when streamed ? opening these on PC just gives me 2 screens with just a slight different angle ^^V

From my experience, the glasses are annoying to deal with and the 3D isn't all that great.

Right now, it is definitely a waste of money; you're much better off saving it for something else. Maybe a few more years down the road they will perfect 3D technology, but that day has not come yet.

Definitely wait for the industry to get better, go to a local Sony centre or a mega store and try it out, if it works for you and you like it. Go for it.

Hmm ok abouCentipede: Infestation glasses, just thaught about it myself, i have glasses thanks to my bad sight and i have no contacts so i can't really wear those glasses for 3d anyways oO very bad thing ... wouldn't want to get me contacts only to watch tv XD

but is the 3d really not that great ? only watched 3d once in a movie theatre and it was awesome ... and i like the 3ds's 3d even thaught its not as intense as i remember it from the movie theatre some years ago.

And waiting for something better isn't really a good idea, i allways thaught the same but than one year later it was like "wait longer and it will be better" and next year the same.... neverending circle, the advancing will never stop at least not in the near future.
