Hacking Ewin2 new firmware update bricks saves?

Hey all,
I haven't updated the firmware in a while, I figured there was no need to since I hadn't run into any problems yet. So I updated to 1.962 (or something, the most recent one) and now it only takes 512kb saves. my pokemon saves are now deleted, i think all the roms are the same (i keep most of my games on my R4, so i don't know which saves apart from pokemon were corrupted). is there a way to convert my old 256 save into a new 512?

i tried using an R4 converter (since R4 saves in 512kb format) but it didn't work...any other ideas?

if not, does anyone know which version i should revert to?

For pokemon use Pokesav. It can make the SAVs to 512kbit
