I've installed FMCB v1.8, when I click ESR in the dashboard, the logo appears and then nothing happens.

Yes, a disc was in, but it wasn't patched.

The disk needs to be patched for it to work!

I patched the ISO and then burned it. When I ran the ESR application, with the disc in, the disc did not spin. The ESR logo appeared, and then a black screen appeared afterwords.

might be the dvd your using.

I remember reading a disclaimer for the program that some games don't work if your using dvd+r and its not book typed. Other than that, i have no idea.

There are different version of the esr.elf. One is a memory card version that boots but then goes back to the memory card menu. The other is "direct" and there's another one. If one doesn't work try the others.

1. Try using ESR DVD Direct off. (^What he said^)
2. Burn the game on a DVD-R or a DVD+R, not on DVD-RW, DVD+RW, or CD-RW.
3. Burn the game at 4x or lower speed.
