Nope, it only wipes the data on the NAND but not the FIRMs. The point of using TinyFormat is so that it won't delete the contents of your memory card. You did make a NAND backup first though, right? You'll be restoring that backup after you've set the 3DS up and signed into your NNID following the use of TinyFormat.Well I was going to try it but then I thought I should ask this first.

It doesn't, that's the point here. Based on the error I believe they only need to go through the sign-in process to fix some server side stuff preventing them from using the eShop.I don't think TinyFormat unlinks NNID's
