Hardware Error moving files to SD card.

I have a 2GB SD card, but today I encountered a problem: although the SD card has 42MB of free space, when I copy two MP4 video files with a total size of 32MB to the SD card, my phone shows a message saying:
NOT ENOUGH MEMORY.
What is going on?

Probably bad sectors.
You could try to defragment the SD but I don't know how that would be achieved.
Try deleting some files and see if that solves the problem.
