Hi,

I just got my Gateway over the weekend and I successfully installed the exploit and updated my emuNAND to GW3DS 9.20 J.

I have formatted my micro SD card to FAT32 format and loaded 7 roms onto it, but when I insert it into my Gateway I can only see the icon for the first game when I click select. Only the first game can be loaded, and when I try to enter the game I go into the 3ds logo screen and then an error message pops up saying I have to restart my system.

I reformatted my SD card to exFAT and loaded just one rom. While this rom was on my microSD card the last time and I couldn't see the icon for it, I could this time. But when I tried to play the game, I got to the 3ds logo screen and the same error pops up asking me to restart my system. Burning the rom image using Win32DiskImager doesn't work either, I just get the message RAW game format found and the game doesn't load.

I checked my Gateway and microSD using the diagnostic tool and they were all green. Anyone has the same problem and managed to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

It's a Sandisk 16 GB class 10, so I think the SD card should be legit but I'll check when I get back from work to be sure. Thanks!

it sounds to me like he's using the old way of writing roms (when there was only single-rom compatibility)

just format your microsd as exfat and drop the .3ds (or .3dz) file on there. You don't have to "burn" it.

Wow, thanks for the quick response guys. I have tried both the old way of burning roms and just dropping the rom files onto the root folder of the microSD and both methods don't work. It does seem like fake SD card issue, I'll check later and post updates here.

Thanks guys it was a bad microSD card after all. I tried checking for bad sectors and fixing them using the PC, there were no problems found. However, only 150 MB or so of the card was actually usable. Looks like you can't even trust some of the vendors on Amazon nowadays.

You idiot. Maybe try reading the post properly instead of just glancing over it.

I had this very same thing happen yesterday, although the 32GB card I got was a freebie from a friend, but only about 108MB on this one, gutted as the only other micro SD I have lying round spare is 4GB :(

check pm i sent you some tips, I use fake card and they work fine!
fake cards dont "work fine" you can only ever use the real size of the chip....which in most cases are really small i.e 100mb-1gb, not only that they are usually the worst quality chips you can get so even if you try to limit your usage to the size of the memory that is inside you still run the risk of running into random corruption etc, never buy/use a fake SD knowingly unless you really dont care for your data....if anything just pay for a cheap smaller sized legit card its all you get with a fake SD anyway and atleast you dont need to worry about it crapping out randomly and its cheaper too
