Hardware Error Code 160 after latest update

So after closing Splatoon the other day, a system update started, and the console restarted afterwards...

Except then I got this:

I just wanna know if I have any options before I send it off to Nintendo. Like is there any way to get into a recovery menu thing and format it? Also, anyone know if Nintendo will erase all my data if they do repair it?

EDIT: I can still get onto the Quick Start menu from the gamepad, if that means anything. Still can't get beyond that though.

nope, you're screwed, send it to Nintendo.
Nintendo will usually transfer your settings/data, but don't quote me on that.
