Hardware Error Code: 160-0101

When I turned on my Wii U today i got this message after about two seconds:
"An error has occurred.

Please turn the console off.

Error Code: 160-0101"

Last time I used my Wii U was a couple of weeks ago and then it worked fine. But now I cant even get to any menu.
Does anyone know what kind of error it is or know any solution?
Are there some kind of hard reset or factory reset I can do before enter any menu?
Or is there some kind of fail safe startup?

Any help are welcomed!

Hi aim maurice me english is not so good umm Some day i just installed on me Wii u haxii and hbc bootloader umm i dont maked an backup of te nand um so i just ons of this days just formating me Wii u after formating to reset Wii u te Wii u normal screen was coming with name Wii u but Some minuten later nothing more was coming on ly a black screen with thuis erorr 160-0101 what doens it means so is me Wii u bricked or can i fix it this is picture of erorr help me out please

Did you have CBHC installed?

Your Wii is bricked I'm afraid, its trying to boot a title that doesn't exist. May be fixable in the future assuming you backed up the eMMC but right now its not viable unless you're very good with a soldering iron.

Ka-ching! You fucked up.

• CBHC [Refered as "Haxchi"]
• Formatted sysNAND [CBHC wasn't uninstalled]
• CBHC writes code to syshax.xml which is used to launch CBHC on boot. If game is missing, Wii U doesn't know what the fuck to do so it will crash instead.
• No NAND Backup. Sorry mate, your Wii U is dead for good.

You can't fix it anymore because you don't have OTP. [Afaik, it's impossible to call for otp when Wii U is bricked, it might be possible in future]

Im guessing you installed a non legit ds game for it? Or the ds game was installed to usb? If so, your wii u is fucked. Id throw it away and just buy a new console at this point. No going back now.

I have chbc installed and haxii also but i doenst maked a nand backup i just dont have do that i forget to do that but me wii u is now death or can it be fixt some thing must need to help and games what i have installed the wud games pikmin mario kart 8 mario 3d world sonic thats it i just formated me wii u afther that this eroor was comming nothing works its the motherboard of the wii u but cbhc is installed the old wii was bether just get a boot menu if you hold the power or eject buton it was the prii loader menu bether wii u needs priiloader if this eror comming 160-0101 u can use prijloader but its not done voorwii u hmm this code need to fix now me english is no so good sory

Sadly there isnt a fix for this... You formatted your wii u :/ CHBC loads before the homemenu from a title and since you formatted it, the title is no longer there and fails to load it. No way to fix it.

It's dead, might be fixable in the future but we don't know for sure.

This wheek i just ask to nintendo suport about this erorr they says i can send the wii u with erorr 160-0101 to nintendo i think they wil repair it i have to day got a message from nintendo they say u can send you wiiu to us u need log in to nintendo.nl go page down u say service afther that page click repair service i have do that but monday i go call nintndo ask what thiis erorr is and ask if it can be fix if yes i wil let you users know it

He's trying to communicate.
You can always unbrick by doing hmod using your own OTP and SLC/MLC.
