yeah, some people seem to be seeing this error alot with cboot2 at that point.. i did as well, and all i did was switch from my 2gb sdhc card to an old 256meg non sdhc card and it stopped the error. Iv herd on another post that this happens when theirs another usb device hooked up to the wii, it may also be something with the formatting of the card. try doeing a full fat16 format, with the default allocation of the card. other than that i stumped as well.

There's a newer version of cboot2 that seems to work more reliably. copied that to my sd card, and followed the rest of the instructions.

    awesome step-by-step... thank you

I updated the archive to include the new cboot2 version. http://sadnetworks.ath.cx:82/iosdowngradev3.rar . This version apparently works when bootmiis installed as an ios in addition to working when bootmii is installed as boot2, I have not been able to test it though.

You sir, are a godsend. Since December have I been in the dark while everybody else it out there having fun with the latest whizbang programs.

    USB LOADER HERE I COME!

PS - Your version 3 archive is missing some apps and wads that were in the 1st 2 archives ... just a heads up [IMG]

Edit: PPS - Everything works perfectly. Found my old 40gb external and am now installing my collection. Thanks! [IMG]

Great, everything's working perfectly now. I also noticed the missing files, but managed to get them from the second archive.

Anyway, thanks a lot, this really helped.

Hey I'm having a bit of trouble with this. It goes fine up until the IOS downgrader. I select A to continue but it just comes up with "Press any button to restart..." Then when I restart it shows up with "the system files are corrupt"

    Anyone know the problem?

if you have preloader you may want to re-run the preloader installer after running step 12. if not, try to skip step 12 and run the ios downgrader. If that doesn't work then try skipping step 12 and 13, and just run the latest CIOS installer (rev 13 i think?).
