Hacking Error 001: An unknown device was found

I'm using USB LoaderGX to run an ISO file. The game is Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekidō, which is a Japanese Wii game. When I start up the game, the screen goes black with the title in white (and Japanese).
I've installed the two cIOS here: https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/backup-launchers/installation
I'm at a loss at what to do.

Usually when i get stuck on a screen of a japanese game, it wants me to plug in either the nunchuck or the classic controller before it will proceed.
