Are there any homebrews to encrypt USB drives or to stream backups (iso) from networks?
Maybe something like truecrypt for WII?

How does encrypting your USB drive have anything to do with streaming backups?

i am not aware of any software only solutions and I dont think it will be done
but there are some hardware routes you could check out

    1. drive enclosure doing encryption in hardware without needing software on host
    2. modchip which connects to pc
    3. wode - afaik it uses openwrt so cryptoloop should be available (might require some work in its sw guts)
