QUOTE said:Reason for edit: That program violates the GPL. - TJ
If I had to guess, I would say it's because sorg admitted he used GPL code (changed his story later on, pretty obvious that was a lie) but still refused to provide source. On the other hand the author of MMM claims his app is legal because all GPL code has been replaced (despite contrary evidence).WiiBricker said:MMM also violates the GPL and yet it is perfectly fine here at gbatemp. Screw this shit already.
Yes, if I recall correct, you have proved that MMM contains traces of GPL code by dissassembling it.tueidj said:If I had to guess, I would say it's because sorg admitted he used GPL code (changed his story later on, pretty obvious that was a lie) but still refused to provide source. As my brother says, "choose your own sin". Everyone/thing does do something wrong but then tries to make it look better by over exaggerating what they do right.WiiBricker said:Yes, if I recall correct, you have proved that MMM contains traces of GPL code by dissassembling it.tueidj said:If I had to guess, I would say it's because sorg admitted he used GPL code (changed his story later on, pretty obvious that was a lie) but still refused to provide source. Another example of GPL violation is "Homebrew Filter". It uses at least libWiiGUI and libntfs and the source is nowhere to be found. Yet download links to it are allowed hereat gbatemp. Speaking of moderatos knowing their job.
