I've done searching the forum for a way to backup and restore SX OS emunand to PC, but closest I found is by using dd
Backup your SD, perform create emunand as hidden partition via sx bootloader 2.4 or 2.5.
After boot0/1 backed up successfully press cancel button.
Windows / macos etc > check if your sd formatted and had an hidden partition.

Restore nand using dd, where of is your SD
dd bs=512 if=./boot0.bin of=/dev/disk2 seek=2 conv=notrunc
dd bs=512 if=./boot1.bin of=/dev/disk2 seek=8194 conv=notrunc
dd bs=512 if=./rawnand.bin of=/dev/disk2 seek=16386 conv=notrunc

There is a dd version for Windows

is there already something more user friendly like emuNAND Tool but for Switch?
or can we use either Hekate, SX Loader or ReiNX Toolkit to backup emunand partition as file and restore it back?

yeah I know, I've also mentioned it's also possible using dd (although some might find using command line to be challenging, so your suggestion still valid)
I was just wondering if a tool specifically to do this already exist or not, because iirc back in the 3ds time there are few tools available just for this

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
