Hi, I own an R4DS and so far I've only tried GBC Emu on it. I wanted to try SNES and NES Emus too, but I have a few questions.
I've downloaded SNEmulDS already, and I will probably use nesDS later as well. So my questions are:

1. Well first off, is the R4DS compatible with SNEmulDS and/or nesDS? (I assume that SNEmulDS is compatible as it loads properly but I probably have the games in the wrong place or a wrong file.)
2. If yes, then I know for SNEmulDS at least you need to place the games in the "ROOT" of your flashcart. Where exactly in the R4DS is the ROOT?
3. Can the SNEmulDS Emu run NES roms as well? If so then I wouldn't need nesDS right?
4. What is the file format for SNES roms? What is the file format for NES roms? (.snes and .nes?)

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks! =D

1. Should be.
2. Let's say your memory card is G: then the root would be G: and not any other folder like G:/SNES Games. Just place it where the _DS_MENU.DAT goes.
3. I don't know.
4. I would think so.

Unless you've got a really really really old version of SNEmulDS, put games in a folder called "SNES". Put the "snemu.cfg" file on the root of your card, and the SNEmulDS.nds file wherever you want. Latest version is v0.6 Alpha. For NES DS, all files can go wherever you want.

SNEmulDS emulates SNES only. It accepts most SNES rom formats, the most common of which being .smc. Other formats include .fig, .sfw, and a few others I can't remember. For NES DS, use *.nes files.

I appreciate the help guys but I'm still having some problems and I'm not sure what to do. Putting nesDS aside for the moment, I want to get SNEmulDS to work. I have SNEmulDS v0.6 Alpha and .smc's of Mega Man X and Mega Man 7.

So far I've dumped snemu.cfg, SNEmulDS.nds, and the 2 roms out in the open (so F: drive, Removable Disk) with no SNES folder whatsoever. When I run SNEmulDS.nds it loads up and the screen says something along the lines of "Select a Game", but none of the roms show up. Could it be the roms that I'm using?

Any further help would be great! =]

Yes, like I said earlier:

The SNES folder should be on the root of your card. Note that if you want to change this location, you can open the snemul.cfg file and specify a different folder.
