Homebrew Emulation, possibly make me sluggish?

So I've been playing Windjammers on NeoDS and it seems to be working fine. But... I feel like my whole DS is running slower now when I use my Cyclo. Just jumping through folders and/or starting the NDS and watching the CycloDS screen load. Can't be possible... can it?

I'm freaking out that my damn hardware is going to bite the dust and I've only been using it a week!

No, that's not possible. It's probably just that you've been adding stuff to your microSD since you got it. The more full it is, the slower it is.
