@pika: Which version of the Dol Forwarder are you using. If it's Generic v0.2.1 then you have to configure in the elf_dol_forwarder.conf file which boot.dol or boot.elf you want it to load.

@kevenz: Yes, the path is case sensitive. Thanks for your wads. Are they tested? Do you have previews pics of them?
would be ideal to show screenshots of your channels, also yeah told you its case sensitive

well I'm using them on my own wii....... only Genesis and Nintendo don't work as .wad, they code dump.

as for preview pic..... they're the same you can find everywhere on youtube

I'm using version without sound effect because I find that annoying.

can someone straighten me out? i went through this whole thread and im not sure if you can have multiple forwarded apps in the same "elf_dol_forwarder.conf".

example-

# Elf/Dol Forwarder configuration file
# This file needs to be in the root of your SD card!
# Path to elf/dol file:
/apps/MPlayerWii/boot.dol
/apps/fceu/boot.dol
/apps/vbawii/boot.dol
/apps/ftpii/boot.dol

would that work?

No sorry, multiple dols are not allowed. That would defeat the purpose of a elf/dol forwarder.

Update:
- Added a wad with banner for the Elf/Dol Forwarder v0.2.1 (thanks to Master Mo for the Banner, thanks to Banjosancho for compiling the wad).
Preview:

- Also added kevenz's wads (thanks).

Thanks for the updates SpaceJump,

Will the Elf/Dol Forwarder v.0.2.1 function as the same as Softchip forwarder (Wizza's) as I have been trying to download for so many time from his host but without success (got a copy from another source but not sure if it's the same), or if it's not to much to ask, can you upload it to mediafire?

Just visited the first page, thank you SJ for the mirror. That's fast

is it better to format my sd card in FAT or FAT32 ?

what are you guys using?

maybe it's the reason I'm getting code dump with some emulators.

It shouldn't matter if your sd/sdhc card is formatted in FAT or FAT32. Those emus give a code dump because of chnages in those emus. We have to wait for new versions of them.

This is the actual links to the latest kernel.dol (actually it's an .elf)

[zImage-2.6.27b-whiite.elf] Is the one I've been using along with others using xwhiite.

And here is the path again to the boot.elf

root/apps/linux-kernel/boot.elf

Thanks so much!

Update:
Added a Dol Forwarder for GxGeo by request of djdynamite. Please upload your wad when injected

Next things to come:
- Media Forwarder for different Wii Media Apps
- Forwarders for GeckoOS, Homebrew Browser and Linux

Thanks dynamite, but I'm getting a Code Dump with the Forwarder Channel. What about you

Nope no Code Dump crash for me, just require the boot.dol in the folder named gxgeo in apps folder

Yes I know that. I'll test it later again. Are you sure you are loading the Forwarder Channel and not the normal channel?

Hmm,

DJ done some nice work with Dol forwarding his WADs but...

I don't know how to do it...

I want make my channel that does load a boot.dol from a map in apps...
Is that possible?

Or only from root?
What means you only can have one channel on your Wii that is Dol forwarding...

Sorry it is just pretty unclear to me...

Thanks for your help!

If you check the 1st page you will see a list of dol forwarders for certain apps like MPlayerWi, gxgeo etc, these just get inejcted into a channel like i have posted on my custom channels thread.....
they save internal space but require the application on SD Card....as it boots from the SD....clear?
you can have many forwarders, i have a few, thanx to spacy

djdynamite is correct. If you need a Elf/Dol Forwarder for a specific app, just tell me the location of the boot.dol or boot.elf on the sd card (preferable the same as the Homebrew Browser's path if available) and I can compile it for you.
