Yeah, the DMCA is one funny little bit of legislation. It's also illegal to play DVDs using open source software, etc (mplayer for Wii is illegal in the US!!1!)

Good thing we 1) don't particularly care about stupid pieces of legislation (we don't have a problem breaking laws that are inherently stupid and infringe on OUR rights as users) and 2) most of us live in Europe anyway. There's a line between laws that protect big companies and laws that, to supposedly do so, screw us over.

lol so you have not been reading the reports from the G8 summit then if they pass the laws they are trying mate even your homebrew will be illegal along with a lot of things including linux in a fashion
G8 Summit was in July, and if I remember right the ACTA crap didn't pass.

Question: SVPE you mentioned something about endian madness. Does this imply that the ehci registers use big endian format?

Also there is plenty of reference code that exists for ehci drivers. Wouldn't it be a matter of just porting one of these reference implementations? (I know I'm making it sound trivial)

Also, does there exist any open implementations of a custom ios? I've seen neimod's toolkit but a real world working example would be interesting to study.

Forgive my ignorance, I've just gotten into this stuff and I finally got around to reading this thread.

This is for curiosity, as it looks like quite a time-consuming task anyway ;-)

seems like your thread went to finger pointing very fast. though, i have no idea how to code. the only help i can offer is that i could be your test subject. i have 3.2u with starfall and i like to tinker with stuff. also, you might want to start another thread. this one is a loss.
