ROM Hack Editing exefs on Pk3ds - patching requirements?

Hi GBA,

I was wondering if simply dumping my Pokemon Moon game by 'braindump', editing the code.bin in pk3ds "exefs" (type chart) and then patching it using the 'SuMo Batch Tool' would be sufficient to play the rom hack in V1.1?

If not please let me know of any requirements.
