I downloaded the patched version of the game to use before this update.

Does that mean if i update my firmware it will stop working, or will it just work as normal?

@drwrir: Usually when you post news in the "User Submitted News"-area you check if there's been such a post before. In this case there already was such a thread only 5 topics down and that is why I locked your thread. No offense meant to you, but what would you think if everyone started posting multiple topics about a single thing? This certain area would just get cluttered and then it wouldn't get used cause you wouldn't be able to find anything interesting due to all the multiple topics in existence.

Now that this is said, how about we stop arguing and start talking about the firmware update instead?

I believe that it will work as normal.
I haven't test this but you can and tell us.

I remember once that there was a member who emailed the EDGE team. *Now where is the topic?*

Im glad EDGE is still updating but they should add more update. this update is more like 1.44b since it's only 1 game.

Great Card, from a great team, with great support, im glad to own one of their products

Same with me, crash randomly!

It crashes during missons....can somebody recommend something?

New member here. I can confirm the random crashing.
A bit more info:
Using the ARM9 patch game works flawlessly. Multi-card play crashes frequently though.

Using an unpatched ROM together with the 1.45 update, the single player game freezes on occasion during high speed chases, missions, etc; the
Multi-card mini-games work flawlessly though.

So until a workaround is found for this issue, my lil' bro and I just used two ROMS in our flashcarts, the ARM9 patched one for single player games and the unpatched, untrimmed (ie. Clean) ROM for multiplayer games (along with the 1.45 FW update).

Well I just updated my Edge firmware and now Chinatown does actually load.

Unfortunately it still crashes after the autosave menu.

Any ideas people? Everyone's gone quiet after the firmware update so I can only assume you're all off playing it.

Hmmmm....

Well, you can do naught but try the ARM9 fix then. Anyway I'm not updating, too much work (LOL) and my GTA is working flawlessly.

if only they did more than fixing GTA compatibility (which is not really fixed, is it?)

The european version of GTA still crashes at the start. The USA version works fine and thats the rom this firmware release fixes.
