Is there any hope for a fix?

Well. This seems to be a problematic combination, as I heard.

Strange , as I thought Bootstap 3 was to fix the 1.4.1 blocking

Thing is , I just dont see how bupdate.bin gets run , when the "old" bootstap is blocked?

I presumed that bupdate.bin would auto run , but for some reason it is not..

Has anyone got this working with 1.4.1? Is it a situation where you need to run it on an non updated DS or a lite?

SOLVED , SOLVED SOLVED

Use a DS lite to run the updater , then put the Iedge card in your DSI and all is working with f/w 1.4.1

Yipee!!

Having trouble updating my card, I've formatted it to FAT. Then run the new bootstrap and put it into my DSi which is running 1.4.1 and I don't see the EDGE thing pop up or a flashing red light on my card. Anyone else having this issue?

Okay so just after I posted this I read that I need to use a DS or DSi with 1.4 software to upgrade it, which seems kind of lame considering most people I figure would only own 1 DS.

Yep, its crazy , its like a "chicken and Egg situation" as how can the DSI run the start app when it blocked?

Thankfully the DS is not blocked and runs the updater fine..

Looks like we all missunderstood Team Edge/Cyclopos... Once again...

Yes , you think they would have made it 100% clear that for updates you need a DS (not a DSI) , but I guess that would be way too simple.

What if your doing it for the first time? I got a DSi with 1.4.1 on it and bought the iEdge at the same time. However when I run the bootstrap and then put it into my DSi all I see is the Sudoku icon but I don't touch it and I don't see the iEdge card flashing....Any ideas?

If your seeing the Sudoku icon , then your initial flash of the Iedge must have been with v2.0 boot strap (this is what I did)

You will now have to use v3.0 in a DS/lite to force it to update , you will then see a new icon for the new rom they are using...

you got to use a ds or ds-lite to update it, with the bootstrap.

My DSi is at 1.4. If I'm understanding all this correctly, I should be able to run the bootstrap update on my iEdge, right?
