Hacking Easiest way to update 0-4 E browser (O3ds)

Hi I have an O3ds with fw 4.3 .0 -4E, I have rxtools access and can also access GW launcher. I have updated the emunand to a more recent version and can then access home brew launcher with ninjhax. But whenever I try to install pasta cfw or fbi/ BBM nothing happens..no menu on my homepage on emu nand or sysnand. I have tried to inject fbi using rxtools and the Health and safety hack but that didn't work either.

So ...my question is, because all of the above is quiet long winded I'm thinking it would be easier if I could update my browser version and just either use the ninjhax and go from there..so does anyone know what the best/ easiest way is to do update the browser? I understand the cartridge update is a no go...

Basically you need rxtools devmode (not rxmode or you run the risk of bricking). Then update browser using the right .CIA file.

Personally I'd just update to 9.2-20 and then themehax to boot into rxtools direct.

a side question i have, what is NVRAM when using that from the GW launcher?

It allows the DS profile exploit to be installed on new 3DS.

Do what 75mak said. There is a tutorial on updating to 9.2, search for it and follow it carefully (there is risk of bricking if you don't follow the steps exactly).

I used 3dNUS to update mine. It was fairly smooth and painless

-edit- To be fair, I only updated to 4.5.0-10E and have left it there since. I don't need fancy auto-boot options when what I have works perfectly fine for what I need. Just my 2 cents

I'm sorry, I don't follow your meaning. If all he is trying to do is upgrade the browser then 3dnus works quite well (just tested again myself to verify). Used FBI H&S to install the updates to sysnand.

3DNUS only downloads the latest component since Aug.05, 2015.
Spider (the codename of O3DS browser) for 10.2 never has the entrypoint for GW/CFW.
So your idea won't work.

My bad, I didn't know they stopped carrying all of the sysfiles for 4.5.0? I ran the exe and it is pulling them in downloading, and so far they are a 1:1 from the last time I ran (renamed my old folder). Not questioning you, just find it kind of odd is all. Will let it run and see what happens.

Worst case scenario if the OP wants to shoot me a message I am sure I can help him find the 4.5.0-10E files

Thecheeze can u explain how u did the update install to sysnand? Do u mean you did the fbi install with h&s method and then install the sysupdate cia (and then the update folder)? Or do you mean something else? Thanks
