This isn't the first time I've heard of her unfortunately. ign.com and qj.net post alot of her rumors but they take them with a grain of salt as I do when I read them. I'm still unsure if any of her predictions have come true yet.

Nintendo has no intention on doing anything with the Mother series, or they would of done it by now (EarthBound came out in the 90s, and they've done nothing with it since).

On quite the contrary, there WAS a Mother 3 that released 10 years after Earthbound. It is not unlike the Mother series to suddenly return from the dead...

I completely agree. Much like the Fire Emblem characters who sparked interest in gamers, which eventually led to a game for the GBA being released.

The problem with the Smash Bros. = Fire Emblem analogy is that "Roy's" series was on a still-alive platform, so its release stateside was no problem. Mother 3 and Mother 1+2 were released without much trouble in Japan, but with Lucas in Brawl, I don't see it stimulating a Mother release here. If the games were on the DS, then I would see a better chance for the Mother games to be put out in the States. Sorry, GBA. You're mostly dead and forgotten in favor of the DS, and if Nintendo is stupid they'll go ahead and release the games on GBA in 2008, to horrid sales.

Yes, but porting GBA games to DS is so outright easy it's just about ridiculous. The hardware is *FAR* more similar than fans claim.

Yes, they could easily do a Pheonix Wright like port to DS from GBA. Just make one of the screens for menus and maybe a map and it would work great.

I'd love to play Mother 1 + 2, even for GBA, doesn't need to be on DS for me and it would be probably one of those games I'd actually go and buy
