EA considering subscription model for Battlefield games

So, first they promote this "Battlelog" thing, pointing out it was going to be free instead of MW3 to get more sales.

They they do the exact opposite they have been promising to fans.

Good job. Also noting that hosting servers doesn't cost a penny to EA since in PC it's all rental servers, and for consoles they are going to release rental servers soon.

And, of course, this isn't just the case of the FPS genre. The entire gaming industry has gone haywire since long ago.

First DRM, then same-price-than-retail downloadeable games, then DLCs, then planification of DLCs even before the game itself, then Online pass, then subscriptions, next we are going to pay for every second we play.

If this is true I have bought my last Battlefield game.

I'm fucking sick of DLC and Online passes and other schemes trying to wring one more drop out of our titties.
I'm convinced that more effort is put into planning DLC than the whole retail released game itself.

This industry is going to the fucking dogs - money grabbing arsewipes!

Remember peeps, EA, Activision (and while we are at it, Capcom) will keep finding new ways to fuck you over until you collectively say enough is enough.

unfortunately, just like COD, this franchise will still shit money no matter how hard they fuck over the average consumer...this is why they are pursuing this. because they know they can fucking get away with it
