So I been trying to get wiiflow running my games. I'm able to install cios 249 successfully. But once I try to do cios 250 with the same options like cios <V10 beta 52> base 56 then cios revision 65535 it won't try to download and then it'll give a error net_gethostbyname failed -6. So I need some help if possible.

Just some extra notes to add to this thread. XFlax, I downloaded the d2x Custom IOS Installer from both wiiguide and oscwii.org and both did a size comparison on the file and tested both in a Wii and I got the same results as Hitotari.

I only care for 2 reasons, because obviously ModMii gives me another path to accomplish most things. My two reasons for caring are: 1) Just the ease when doing testing of being able to try different combinations without having to return to my computer. 2) I have been doing some tests, specifically with music games and I think I have a couple of places where you can only get multiple mics to work with beta-53, which last time I looked in ModMii there was not any beta-53.

I am one of those jokers with multiple Wiis, so I will do my tests on one of the other ones that already have what I need and when I am finished and have good concrete testing whether it is really necessary or not, I will upload for anyone who cares.

Thanks for keeping my hobby alive.

Absolutely if u want a random cios installed to a random slot with random version number the d2x cios installer would be easier than using modmii to build a wad.

Modmii can build the cios you want though, go to modmii's options page and enter d2x, or enter "beta" on modmii's download page 4 or advanced downloads page. From there you can change the type of d2x cios modmii will construct

Awesome thanks, I really need to spend some significant time in MODMII this is the second time I have thought I understood what was available and I was wrong. I will do that before I post anything else related.

You will have to study a bunch more new features I'm adding for the next update, lol

(still gonna be awhile before it's ready though)

P. S. Did you know that modmii was the original d2x cios installer? It wasn't until d2x was at v3 or so that the wii app installer was developed
