Hacking DVDx and D2PRO

Couple questions:

Do I need to install the Patchmii core to install DVDx on D2Pro? or can I just do the normal installation?

If I need to, do I just rename the file from here (http://static.hackmii.com/patchmii_core.dol) to "boot.dol"? is there a homebrew channel friendly way to install patchmii?

Can I install PatchMii and DVDx after I've updated to the October 23d (Using the installer)?

Yes there is a HC friendly one? (I dont have TP anymonre (I rented it) so i cant do the Twilight hack)

to launch from homebrew channel you need to make a directory under apps with the dol file renamed to boot.dol for whatever progs you wanna run

In your SD card make a folder called "apps". Then make another folder called "PatchMii Core" (this one can actually be whatever you want to name it). Rename "patchmii_core.dol" to "boot.dol" and put it in your "PatchMii Core" folder. You can also create a meta.xml (description, etc) and icon.png (image to the left in HBC) to put with it as well, but it's completely optional.

So your file is like this:
ROOT\apps\PatchMii Core\boot.dol

Then just load up HBC and run it.
