happy it worked out for you guys

remember... 1.9g is evil and you should'nt, for any reason, update to it...
the problem it was designed to fix (001 error) is now fixable using generic patcher and trucha sign...
no need to compromise your chip anymore...

cheers!

How are you guys doing this? When I eject Twilight Princess and try to put in the recovery disc, it still spits it out.

The only way I can get my Wii to read games without spitting them out right away is to turn my wii all the way off (so it's a red light), then insert the disc...I've tried to do that a few times now with the recovery, but with no success.

(although my Wii does still play original Wii/GC discs, it still spits them out unless it's off when I put them in)

Also, can you guys still play SSBB after fixing the wiikey? Or does it go back to what it was before where you get an error?

If your Wii spits out the Recovery Disc, just let the Zelda game load in the Wii menu first.
Then reset the Wii so you are at the black warning screen and switch to the Recovery disc there instead.
Afterwards, reset one more time and go to the Wii menu and leave it there for like 5 minutes.
Finally, reset for the last time and your backups should work again.

I then suggest you update to 1.9s firmware.
