In my experience using the Dualshock 4 on the steam deck while it is docked causes the console to be very slow versus having it undocked with a DualShock controller connected to it via bluetooth. Does anybody know if this has been fixed or does not have a problem doing this using Bazzite os? I cannot speak if this is a problem for the first generation of steam deck but it is very apparent on the OLED. I have to use an Xbox 360 wireless adapter with a wireless controller and everything works fine. Or if I use the Dualshock 4 directly connected with a micro USB it works just fine as well. But as soon as I go Bluetooth wireless with a Dualshock 4 using any game on the steam deck, it slows any game way down.

So does anybody know a fix for this or do I have to go to bazite OS in order for this problem to go away? I have updated my deck multiple times through the course of new updates coming out with no resolution. No I am not going to buy another controller for an Xbox when I have enough controllers. No I am not going to use my steam deck only in handheld. I'm not looking for a lazy Band-Aid but an actual resolution

That sounds super frustrating! I haven't tried Bazzite OS, but maybe give it a shot since updates haven’t fixed the issue. You could also try a different Bluetooth adapter, just in case it’s a hardware conflict.

I tried 2 different bluetooth adapters with the same result. But good thinking👍🏻

Strange. I've used a ps4 controller + official deck dock + original steam deck without issues whatsoever (ps4 wireless, of course). It's been some time, but I'll try again and check if recent updates have botched something.
I don't have an oled, so I can't say anything on that front.

Make sure it is in the dock and connected to an external display that you are playing on.

Sorry... It seems the Bluetooth connection is out(unsure whether the receiver on deck's end of ps4 controller). It works over cable, but obviously that's not helping you out. :(

The weird but interesting thing is that if you have the deck and do not connect it to an external monitor and still use the DualShock 4, everything works just fine without any lag or stuttering.

Give it a go. I like the dualshock 4 out of all the controllers. But the more testing we do, the better. Hopefully someone reads this and knows how to correct it.
