I couldn't get motion controls to work with a DualSense using ds34vita/VitaControl + ds34motion.

Meanwhile, MiniVitaTV + dualsense-driver were so unstable that I couldn't even play a game without crashing, and the touchpad didn't seem to work. That being said, dualsense-driver advertises full support, including motion controls.

Is there any stable method of having DualSense's motion controls be usable, preferably alongside reVita too?

At least I can confirm that the touchpad works with VitaControl, and I assume that rumble was never implemented because Vita had no rumble motors in it.

I do recall my PSTV overlay menu having a checkbox for rumble with paired controllers, though for what, I dono't know. I never used a PS5 controller. Went with Switch instead for 6x longer battery lilfe. VitaControl clamps the analog stick threshold though. Known bug. Now using a Crossbone pad.

That doesn't exactly help... Thanks for the rumble insight though.

My point is that the DualSense would be a perfect gamepad for Vita if motion controls worked, since the touchpad is there and works decent enough as a touchscreen replacement. Motion controls do work on DS3 and DS4s.

At the same time, I can't call DS4 a sound investment nowadays given that it's insanely overpriced for what it's worth (10 years old and hardly any cheaper than DualSense), and not exactly futureproof (BT 2.1 vs DualSense's BT 5.1). Of course, having an actual PS4 would invalidate the argument, but you get the idea.

How would you use motion controls? Though I had a plugin idea to map touch gestures to buttons after seeing Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate had unused D-pad buttons yet required the back touchpad to change characters. Map's too small to enjoy on Vita but PSTV is a pain to emulate Touch.Found this (I can't view psx-place pages) https://www.psx-place.com/threads/ps-vibe-pstv-edition-v2-by-dragonsnake-released.11406/ . Attaching a screenshot from PSTV's overlay too. So you know, Vita and PSTV use the s ame firmware files, but use different assets. Ex: Vita 3G has mobilel data setttings. My Vita's set to emulate the non-3G model since I replaced the modem with a PSVSD. PSTV has HDMI and no lock screen, and native support for PS3 pads. That means the Vita has native support buried in there too. I lost faith in VitaControl but the possibilities are already here.

What do you mean? Games like Gravity Rush use motion controls natively, that game in particular uses it for camera. reVita can use motion controls as inputs to map to some outputs.

I'd not be using it if I was able to have a stable experience with MiniVitaTV :(

Truth be told, I only used it for a minute or so, but straight off the bat I was experiencing major instability. It felt like it could only get worse from there.

I totally forgot Vita had gyro controls. Wish gamepad driver quality would improve. I'm actually ok with this Crossbone pad with a 6660 ma/h battery. X1Vita even properly gauges the battery level in that overlay (can't say the same with VitaControl and Switch Pro). But the pad also doesn't shut off when powering off the PSTV, unlike VitaControl. I think Mini actually pulls PSTV assets, or tries to.
