Hacking Dual boot working?

For example, booting Aria of Sorrow with Dawn of Sorrow gives you a Rare Ring at the start. I tried the dual boot (just hit A on Aria of Sorrow and then load DoS, it said it loaded both but I didn't get a Rare Ring), so I'm wondering if it works or not?

I think in the Supercard it works but in the M3 doesn't. You can try finding a hacked save and upload it to the M3, but I wish that same game combination worked for me...
