Hey,

I installed moonshell via they're auto updater thing and now my DSX shows up as a removeable disk but has 0 bytes of 0 bytes available. I tried updating it with the firmwareupdater from DSx's website and it says it is now got the latest firmware but still doesnt work properly.

Please help omg.

Thanks, Louis.

The DSX team doesn't allow us to help you efficiently.
They have threatened us: if we help people via the GBAtemp forums, people that we help will loose their DS-Xtreme warranty.

Please use this website for support:
http://support.ds-x.com/

Thanks.

That sounds like something for the PSP scene

Costello how could they possibly enforce that? If a user asked for help here then asked DS-X how would know it's the same person?
Probably tried formatting?

What happens when you try it on another pc

. May I also add you are allowed to seek help on gbatemp, there is just a few things your not allowed to use without the teams permission.

DS-X is such a high quality product that is more complex than any other flash cart on the market. It can stop hunger and play mp3 music. The chip is capable of shifting dimensions so that it can increase speeds when required. We would run out the room completely disoriented if we ever attempt to comprehend the advance architecture. It would also void your warranty.

Sounds to me like the DS-X team is simply saying this:

"We want to only keep people in our forums asking for help. We don't want people to think forums than our own are actually any good at fixing problems with our device. Only we know how to fix our own hardware."

With a rough translation side note of:

"Oh crap, other people have figured out our own card way better than we have. We can't keep faith that we know what we're doing, and this will lead to people abandoning us."

In other words, we don't need (or want) the DSX team anymore. They have shown a complete lack of caring and skill in their own field, and we have no interest in their "sweep it under the rug" tactics, and general lethargy... and they know it.

But how can the warranty void if you you ask for help in a forum and get it - of course as long as you don't do anything what would void the warranty (using unofficial firmware updater/downgrader for example)?

I have already said you are allowed to ask for help on gbatemp

I think you took costello the wrong way. I will rephrase what I said Your allowed to get help from anyone in any forums aslong as you DONT use any tools where the ds-x team have said you need permission to use first.

im afriad that claim is wrong also.

@swiitness you can help him on here, Also if he feels he needs to use something that needs permission from the ds-x he can always pm me and I will talk to him about it.

Aaah, that makes sense

But isn't it that way everything where you have warranty? If you use tools you shouldn't use you lose your warranty .
